![]() Completed the pickup and I received email confirmation shortly thereafter. The driver called me in advance and was here just 20 minutes into the scheduled time slot. I received a call from them the night before confirming the scheduled pickup with a four hour window agreed upon. LoadUp had a problem getting a driver assigned on my scheduled day (apparently due the current environment) so had to reschedule for the following day. ![]() They arranged with LoadUp to make the pickup and once confirmed they would issue my refund. Unlike some other companies that expect you to make contact with a long list of charitable organizations trying to find one that would accept mattress donations, they did that work up front and informed me that there were currently no such companies in my area. Contacted them with my request via email and they promptly replied with their apologies that it wasn't working out to my satisfaction and that they'd arrange to have it picked up and issue me a full refund. It wasn't really softening up at all after that time so I decided to proceed with a return. The company requires you to try the mattress for a minimum of two weeks before initiating a return and I ended up giving it four weeks just to be sure. I tried adding a 2" 30ILD latex topper for pressure relief but that compromised my alignment and resulted in lower back pain. I had problems with pressure point pain in my shoulder and arm, but my back felt very good on it even when occasionally sleeping partially on my stomach. I found it to be an extremely well supported mattress with solid build quality, but it turned out to ultimately be too hard for me as primarily a side sleeper. It had a bit of the typical new mattress scent but nothing too strong so I let it breathe for several hours before putting on my Pellon SlumberCool encased protector and bedding. The mattress arrived in perfect condition and quickly expanded to its full size once unwrapped on my adjustable base. I received the delivery in IL on Monday which I consider excellent service particularly during the pandemic. I placed my order online on a Thursday morning and the mattress was built and then promptly shipped by FedEx on Friday. They build these mattresses to order as many such companies do, and do not keep inventory packed on hand. The Big Fig brand is owned by White Dove Mattress who has been in the business for nearly 100 years and is located in Ohio. Their customer support was very helpful before placing my order by both phone and email. range) as far as its support and durability. ![]() For those that may not know it's a design specifically built for the needs of plus size individuals (stated to be in the 300 to 500 lb. I'm a big guy at 6'4"/320lbs and clearly in the target demographic for the Big Fig mattress. ![]()
